The results of technological-mineralogical studies of gabbro-diabases and granites — main types of rocks, used in Karelia for crushed stone production, are presented. It is shown, that crushed stone, produced in gabbrodiabases crushing, is characterized by stability of properties. Main characteristics of granite crushed stone are less consistent, indicating a necessity of more detailed study of granites at the stage of geological prospecting and exploration works.
