The history of development of Physicotechnical faculty of Tomsk Polytechnic University is presented. It is informed obout existent educational methodical and scientific work, educational methodical, the scientifically-educational centres, cooperation with the various organisations. The Physicotechnical faculty is not only largest educational division of National Research University of resource-effective technologies of Tomsk Polytechnical University, but also widely known in our country and abroad the research centre in which scientific employees, teachers, Ph. D. candidate, post-graduate students and students work. Faculty activity brings the substantial contribution to development of a science of Russia and will be coordinated with priority directions of science development, technologies and technics of the Russian Federation.
