Issues pertaining to mineral processing tailings, thickened to paste condition, hydraulic transport and disposal in storage facilities, are considered. It is shown that introduction of this new technology permits to increase technical-and-economic performance indicators of mineral tailings slurry hydraulic transport and disposal processes. Brief characteristic of complexes producing mineral tailings in deep thickened and paste condition, with subsequent hydrotransport and disposal, both operating and under construction, is given; the designs were developed by hydraulic engineers of ZAO «Mekhanobr Engineering», e.g., the Satpayevskaya concentrator («Kazakhmys» Corporation, Kazakhstan), the Priorskaya concentrator (the Aktyubinsky MCC, Kazakhstan), the Blagodatnenskoye deposit gold-recovery plant, and other.
