The article contains brief information on man-caused deposits' types in the Norilsk region territory. Storages of ore-processing products and wastes are characterized as potential mineral and raw material sources for the metallurgical sector. Problems are formulated, related to man-caused deposits development in severe climatic conditions, and the experience of their mining with application of hydromechanization means is presented.
