The article presents various practices of foreign direct investments of large Russian non-ferrous companies in the European Union. The author shows distinctive features of such investments in comparison with ferrous metallurgy. A review of the investment opportunities shows that some Russian companies can expand their presence in the European despite the financial crisis.
