Abstract
The problems in diagnostics of noble stones can't solved without usage of modern analytical devices. UV/VIS/ NIR spectrophotometer SAS 2000 has been used in the department of analysis and expertize of the Russian State Depository for precious metals and gems (Gokhran of Russia). This spectrophotometer processes analysis of diamond raw materials for finding for eign matters, ennoblement of diamond has been detected, colourmetric characteristics of gemstones have been defined.
