Abstract
The article presents an analysis of 18 formulas for ball-shaped particles free-fall velocity calculation, derived by different authors. These formulas may be used for various theoretical calculations, as well as in classification, thickening, jigging and other gravity separation processes studies. Using these formulas, shape factor and its variations effects on free-fall velocity may be studied with respect to different minerals.
