Abstract
Specialties of a hydraulic screen separation characteristic are considered. The screen separation characteristics in different separation regimes are described. It is shown, that the actual screen separation characteristic differs from the conventional separation characteristic through the effect of two factors: entrainment of oblong-shaped particles into undersize, with one of particle dimensions exceeding sieve opening size, and decrease of finest size fractions recovery into undersize product.
