At the end of October 2010 the cargo with Russian equipment, necessary to repair the unit №6 of NPP “Kozlodui”, was delivered to Sofia by an extra flight of “Volga-Dnepr” airline. Bulgarian nuclear engineers are trying to cut the period of forced downtime of the nuclear power unit, which costs around 1,5 mln lews daily. In mid October 2010 the official website of NPP “Kozlodui” informed about defects, detected at the NPP power unit №6 with VVER-1000.
