Computer-aided simulation of the process of hexagonal bar sizing from initial round billet is developed; it helps to predict stress-strain state and forming of a billet during sizing depending on material properties, friction conditions, shape of die working area and other parameters. New die construction with tetrahedron-shape ledges at planes of working surface provides fabrication of hexagonal bars during one drawing operation and meeting the precision requirements.
