TVS-2 fuel assembly design, with reinforced framework created by welding the guide thimbles and spacer grids, developed by JSC TVEL and other companies, helped to solve the main problems of the previous reactor cores, resulting in implementation of advanced fuel cycles providing better fuel burn-up and higher capacity factor.
