Abstract
Issues related to application of fine screening operations in iron ores processing circuits have been considered. The results of «Derric» screens introduction at the «KMAruda» Mining Complex concentrating plant are presented. It is shown, that application of fine screening in the second (final) grinding stage instead of classification in hydrocyclones permitted to improve processing and economic indices of the concentrating plant section operation (reduction of power consumption, increase of iron recovery into concentrate and the plant section productivity).
