Abstract
The new horizontal quenching unit for plates has been put into operation. It was intended for production of aircraft, tool, transport and other plates from different aluminium alloys and is corresponding to the up-to-date technical level in the field of heat treatment. The properties of plates after horizontal and vertical quenching have been compared.
