The history of establishment, formation and development of Ural institute of complex designing of mining enterprises – the “Uralgiproruda” Institute and its contribution in mining industry of Russia for 80 years have been described. The description of general design projects and list of ore mining enterprises, built on the base of the Institute projects has been presented. Information about using modern methods and technologies of computer designing, used new software has been done. Implemented in the Institute quality management system, certified on the base of ISO 9001:2008 demands by TUV Rheinland InterCert Kft. and area of its usage have been presented.
