The problems of preparation high-quality employees for mining practice in Russia are considered. It is the author's opinion that reform of higher education in Russia, taking into account Bolognese Agreement, is general “bachelor-making”, thereby “Engineer” intention is becoming extinct. Author, making historical analysis, accents importance of “mining engineers school” for Russia and notices with pleasure, that it is succeeded the privilege for mining higher education institution to train experts with “Mining Engineer” qualification, thanks to long-term efforts of “mining” sociality. The massive programme of upgrade qualifications for graduates of Moscow State Mining University with “innovation school of mining engineers” preparation is presented. Formulated innovative educational and scientific programs are logic continuation of activity of university and are directed on essential increase of efficiency of the innovative workings out providing competitiveness of mining of the country in the XXI century. Realization of in full offered innovative program concentrated on preparation of the most advanced creative structure of mountain engineers, will give new impulses in innovative development of university and will serve positioning of Russia as leading mining power of the world. In the strategic program of integration of the higher vocational training accepted by Academic council MSMU the Moscow State Mining University should remain a basic kernel of preparation of mountain engineering shots for all branches using mineral resources, providing development of economy and national safety of the country.
