Abstract

A description of experimental facility designed to demonstrate Bragg light diffraction for a 2D−photonic structure (two−dimensional photonic crystal) is presented in this paper. The Laue optical diffraction pattern conditions have been regarded for light reflection at the photonic crystal surface. A method is described for photonic crystal lattice parameter determination through its optical Laue diffraction patterns, and the photonic crystal lattice parameter is obtained for the hexagonal close packed crystal structure.
