Requirements to the granulometric composition of the explosed mined rock are the peculiarities of the extraction process of fluxing limestones and dolomites in open-pits. These requirements provide not only qualitative rock crushing, but also it's minimum content of the thin fractions. The thin fractions are either not valuable product, or raw materials waste. In connection with it, Private Joint Stock Company “Dokuchaevsk Flux and Dolomite Industrial Complex” pays a lot of attention to the choice of the high explosives, which meets the needs of the production.

In the production experience of the complex there were used the explosive mixes: the masonry dry mix (KS-1),simple explosive mix (PVS-1U), emulsion high explosives of ЕРА grade and ukrainite. Taking into account the watering of rocks, there are established the conditions of their application. Emulsion explosives are used during the breaking of watered rocks. Explosive mixes with simple structure are used during the breaking of non-watered rocks.
