Реферат | Titaniferous sandstones of the Pizhemsk Deposit compose a malorucheysksuite, which is locally spreaded (6·18 km) in the North of the Vymsk-Volsk ridge (Middle Timan). This suite forms the Pizhemsk sag. A mineral content of the ore is prevalently formed by leucoxene. It`s content in the sandstones reaches 10-20%. Common content of the titanium minerals reaches 100-200 kg/t. The force of the ore stratum changes from 10 to 84,8 m and is defined by the palaeotopography. Overburden rocks compose large deposits of high-quality quartz glass sandstones, kaolin-quartz sandsones and basalts. These rocks characterize the Pizhemsk deposit as the largest object for complex development. Titanium concentrates (ilmenite and leucoxene) are the marketable products of the designed enterprize. |
