Abstract | This paper notes, that minerals of polymineral rocks have different thermal expansion coefficients. In addition, the same minerals of monogene and polymineral rocks have different thermal expansion coefficients by various crystallographic axises. This paper researches the thermal widening mechanism of polymineral rocks. The basic factors and their thermal weakning appropriatenesses and decreasing of energy intensity destruction are established and presented on the basis of the research results. The energy intensity of mechanical crushing and breakage of the extracted ore on special ground storages can be significantly reduced without the costs of anthropogenic energy resources, at the expence of the multiple “freesing” of this ore in winter period and its “unfreezing” in summer period. With a view to reduce an energy intensity of mechanical destruction of ore, the creation of large tonnage ore storages in the back lands of North, which have significant resources of ground areas, can be economically sound in comparison with the costs for the delivery of energy resources and manufacturing of the corresponding electric power volumes. |
