"Belarusian Autoworks" («BelAZ») JSC specified several guidelines of the further development of its mining equipment, taking into account the current requirements of mining companies for the pit run equipment. First of all, it’s an expansion of dump truck`s payload range with the view of conformity with customer's needs and creation of optimal dimension-type range which makes it possible to simplify the model selection for certain operating conditions.

On the basis of the computer technologies, another object of enterprise`s operation is the development of built-in on-board systems which are enable to operate the dump trucks in optimum behavior; to control the operating conditions; to secure the traffic safety, to reduce the power consumption, etc.

The promising area of the enterprise's operation is the rising of automation level of heavy hauler operator`s work at the expense of development and adoption of highly intellectual control, monitoring and diagnostic systems.

The greatest attention is also given to the provision of comfort working conditions for mining equipment operators due to the recent developments in and around usability, application of new materials and constructive solutions at the designing of working place.

The 15 % reduction of diesel fuel consumption for hauling operations can be achieved due to the development and launching the production of trolley driven and diesel trolley driven haulers.

With the purpose of high technical level assurance and keeping the steady positions on the international market of mining equipment, «BelAZ» JSC collaborates with leading world corporations, i.e.: Cummins (USA), MTU (Germany), Siemens (USA–Germany), General Electric (USA), “Power machines” JSC (Russia), Bosch-Rexroth (Germany), Danfoss (Denmark), Manuli (Italy).

In addition, «BelAZ» JSC continuously enlarges the range of special-purpose equipment, such as: recovery tractors, water sprinkling vehicles, front loaders, bulldozers, articulated off-highway dump trucks, construction and road-building machines and other equipment for servicing and auxiliary operations at open pit.

An individual direction of the enterprise`s operation is the freight stock, such as: hopper cars, gondola cars, flat cars for timber haulage.

Another important direction of «BelAZ» JSC operation is the increasing of equipment unit productivity by 5–7 % by means of development and adoption of new heavy payload dump truck modifications, along with creation of new extreme heavy payload dump truck models.

As a result of development and commissioning of 170–190, 260–290, 420–450 tonnes of payload mine dump trucks till 2015–2020, «BelAZ» JSC is going to have the most full dimension-type range of the produced mine dump trucks, which can cover any requirements of its customers.
