During the period of the vacuum system processes laboratory were performed systematic research of thermodynamic and kinetic regularities of the evaporation processes, dissociation, condensation, non-ferrous metals sulfides diffusion, heat and mass transfer and dust collection under reduced pressure. At same time was established the mechanism of sulfides evaporation process: zinc, mercury, cadmium, bismuth, indium, antimony, arsenic, lead, tin, thallium, also was established the process of pyrite, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite and bornite decomposition in a vacuum. Laboratory developed the equipment for polymetallic raw materials processing in the fluidized state and carried out the industrial tests with mercury and arsenic bearing concentrates of Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Russia, China and Australia deposits, middlings and man-made raw materials. Vacuum technologies of selenium and mercury extraction from sludge of sulfuric production and high-purity selenium obtaining, mercury-antimony processing concentrates, the purification of goldbearing slimes from mercury were applied in industry. Theoretically were justified and applied in industry the vacuum technologies of tin, lead and cadmium fining. Developments of tin vacuum fining were awarded by the State Prize of the USSR in 1985. Were realized the industrial tests of the zinc and thallium fining technology, the processing technology of gold-silver-lead alloy, antimony-lead alloy containing precious metals, at low pressure. Developed and implemented in the industrial conditions the technology and apparatus for vacuum-thermal processing of poly-metallic regulus with obtaining of white matte. Environmental requirements for the metallurgical industry and technological needs of industries make this scientific research area is very urgent. |
