Order from Asil Celik. SMS Concast delivers three-strand billet casting plant

Asil Celik from Orhangazi, Turkey, has commissioned SMS Concast, Switzerland, with the supply of a new three-strand billet caster.

The continuous caster will produce round blooms at a diameter of 300 to 600 millimeters with a production capacity of 600,000 tons per year. The three-strand billet casting plant will start production in the first quarter of 2015.

Asil Celik is a world-renowned producer of quality steel and the largest company of its kind in Turkey accounting for 60 percent of Turkey’s total quality steel production and exporting approx. 40 percent of its products.

The product range of Asil Celik includes hot rolled, heat treated, alloyed, non-alloyed as well as high-alloyed steel products in round, square, hexagonal, flat shape as well as sections for grading buckets.

The products are used in automotive, automotive supplier, Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) and engineering industries.
