SMS Meer. Valinox Nucléaire commissions new tube plant

Valinox Nucléaire has commissioned new machines for its tube plant in Nansha, Guangdong, China thereby, expanding its production capacities.

With the new technology supplied by SMS Meer, Germany, the two companies are expanding their long-standing partnership.

“The project with Valinox is part of a long success story that we have written jointly with Vallourec,” said Norbert Theelen, Deputy Member of Managing Board of SMS Meer, at the inauguration ceremony. “We are therefore celebrating today not only the inauguration of the machines, but also our long-standing cooperation.”

The new tube rolling mill from SMS Meer will enable Valinox Nucléaire to increase its annual production capacity for nuclear steam generator tubes by 2,000 kilometers. With this increased production capacity, Valinox can better meet the rapidly growing demand from the Chinese nuclear installations.

Valinox is the world leader in the manufacturing of special tubes for the power generation industry.
