Tsvetnye Metally
The 10-th issue of the journal Tsvetnye Metally (Non-ferrous metals) (October, 2014) is devoted to the 15-th anniversary of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and to the results of scientific researches and developments of specialists of LLC “UMMC-Holding” and Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin.
Nowadays, the Holding includes more than 50 enterprises, united into mineral raw material, metallurgical, processing, electrotechnical, machine-building, aircraft constructing, coal, port, scientific-educational, construction and agroindustrial complexes. Innovation activity of the company covers all stages of technological chain of the Holding. Each stage (complex use of raw materials, reconstruction of metallurgical enterprises and final production stages) sets a task to reach the maximal result with minimal influence on environment.
Ural Federal University and UMMC-Holding maintain close partnership relations. Personnel training is carried out together with scientific researches for UMMC enterprises.
