Tsvetnye Metally

 

The 12-th issue of Tsvetnye Metally (Non-ferrous metals) journal includes the articles, written by the authors from National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI» (in particular, from the Chair «Physical Problems of Materials Science»). The authors carried out the works in the area of modern materials science of structural and functional materials for exploitation in extremal conditions in power-reactor facilities. According to this, there were given the research results of transmutation gases' behavior (mainly, helium and hydrogen) in prospective materials of nuclear engineering, together with results of development and obtaining of high-calcined amphorous and nano-structured solder alloys for high-temperature sensitive soldering of materials of active areas of nuclear reactors and other energy-intensive technics and series of structural-phase researches in zirconium alloys (the basic metal of active reactor areas on thermal neutrons).

 

This issue includes the interview with the Rector of National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI» M. I. Strikhanov.

 

The article by B. A. Kalin (Head of the Chair «Physical Problems of Materials Science») tells about the ways of activity, new developments and researches of the Chair.

 

This issue gives a large amount of new developments of the University in the area of materials science of non-ferrous metals, which were carried out in the department «Nuclear systems and materials».

 

The issue also includes the economical articles, written by the MEPhI specialists.
