Academician Vladimir I. Dolgikh (important statesman, politican and Doctor of Engineering Sciences) celebrates his 90-th anniversary on the 5-th of December, 2014. V. I. Dolgikh was appointed as a state engineer of Norilsk Mining-Metallurgical Combine on June, 1958. Four years later he became an Executive Officer of this Combine. Some technologies, developed by the group of scientists and specialists, led by V. I. Dolgikh, are still applied at the Polar Division of “Norilsk Nickel” MMC. Vladimir I. Dolgikh made a great contribution in mastering and development of copper-nickel deposits, development of industrial production and creation of socal infrastructure of Norilsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
