Tsvetnye Metally

The focus of the May issue is on some theoretical and practical problems faced by the concentration industry. A special note should be given to a collection of articles that look at new-generation pneumatic column flotation cells and at new approaches to design solutions when using olutions could be applied for similar products of other industries.

The Noble Metals and Alloys section features a lead cake processing diagram. If implemented, such process can yield silver-bearing concentrate and lead cake of commercial quality. The former can be used to produce high value added products.

Of interest is the article published in the Metals Processing section that examines titanium alloys, which is a rare subject in recent technical literature.

The Automation section contains an article that looks at the optimized process of drying titanium pellets in a tunnel kiln.

Last February, professor Anatoliy Sysoev, Tsvetnye Metally’s editor-in-chief, passed away. He was basically the one who would define the journal’s strategy. One of the sections in the current issue is devoted to the memory of professor Sysoev.

The May issue traditionally highlights the great victory over fascist occupants. This year, the cover page features a photo of the sculpture by distinguished artist of Russia Konstantin Chernyavskiy.
