The sections of the next issue of the journal quite fully represent the key stages of mineral processing - from ore preparation to its complex use and utilization of recyclable materials and waste. Attention is drawn to the articles in the section « Beneficiation processes», which provide the results of research on the use of physical methods (such as powerful nanosecond electromagnetic pulses, dielectric barrier discharge, ultrasonic activation) of the impact on minerals, flotation reagents to increase the efficiency of beneficiation.

The publication of the section «Complex raw material utilization» highlights the development of technology for beneficiation of flotation tailings of copper-titanomagnetite ores of a mixed type of the Volkovskoye deposit for the processing plant under construction with the production of iron concentrate.

Traditionally, the topic of articles devoted to the processing of secondary raw materials is relevant. In this section of the issue, you can get acquainted with studies on the involvement in the processing and subsequent use of pegmatite dumps of the Arctic regions of Karelia. Here are the results of studying the prospects for processing gold-containing tailings of processing plants using a dispersed microemulsion of a composite flotation reagent. And also data on increasing the efficiency of extraction of rare earth metals from phosphogypsum due to its exposure to ionizing radiation is published.

The issue concludes with a very useful overview of the experience of operating pulp pumps during the enrichment of diamond-bearing sands and ores in the mining companies «Almazy Anabara» and AK «ALROSA».

The 3rd page of the cover contains information about the annual international conference «Plaksin Readings», which this year was held in Vladikavkaz (RSO–Alania) on the basis of the North Caucasus Mining and Metallurgical Institute (STU) and was devoted to the problems of complex and environmentally safe processing of natural and man-made mineral raw materials.
