Abstract

This article describes the organization of development of Gusevogorsk deposit. Nowadays, the works are carried out in Glavniy, Zapadniy and Severniy open pits. Mined rock is transported to crushing-and-concentrating plant and external dumps by railway transport. Transportations inside the open pit are carried out by mine dump trucks. 1.85 bln t of ore have been extracted and 270 mln m3 of overburden rocks have been transported for the 50-year period of deposit development.
