Abstract | The paper presents the results of the Birkachan and Tsokol deposits ores joint processing study, performed at the gold recovery plant of the Kubaka ore mining and processing enterprise, with a view to estimate effectiveness of joint processing of these ores. These deposits ores thickening process qualitative characteristics and particles settling rates were studied. The effect of settling rate decrease and thickener overflow suspended-materials concentration increase upon the total production process of the plant is noted. These ores joint thickening process was studied. Settling rates variation graphs as a function of time and particles cumulative distribution curves in separate and joint thickening of the ores were plotted. The theory of aggregation complexes formation by means of not only flocculation, but also coagulation process, is outlined. The sediments, obtained in joint thickening of the ores in question without using a flocculant, were studied at the Irkutsk State Technical University electron microscopy laboratory. It is shown, that aggregation complexes are formed in sediment as a result of coagulation processes. On the basis of the results, obtained in the studies, a flow sheet of joint processing of the ores in question has been recommended. |
