Abstract | The results of coal flotation tailing precipitation by anion-active polyacrylamide flocculant study are presented. The studied products solid phase particle-size distribution was determined by Laser diffraction method. It was established, that particles larger than 1 micron form floccules by orthokinetic mechanism within several seconds, and sub-micron particles — by perikinetic mechanism during 10–15 min. The studies, performed by optical microscopy method, permitted to reveal specialties of orthokinetic and perikinetic flocculation aggregates. |
