Gornyi Zhurnal
The first issue of «Gornyi Zhurnal» (Mining Journal) (January, 2016) includes all traditional items.
The article «Globalenergyconsumption:Forecastsandreality» shows the data of the growth of global energy consumption for 2012-2014 and further evolution of the global crisis and forecasting of the situation for the nearest years.
The articles by the members of the Mining Faculty of National Mineral Resources University (Mining Institute) show various sides of its educational and scientific-research activity. The Faculty, which 110-th anniversary was in 2015, carries out the training of engineering personnel for mining industrial complex of Russia. It also participates in development of efficient resource-saving mining technologies, labour protection management systems, industrial and ecological safety, and contributes in scientific-technical progress in mining.
Chersky Institute of Mining of the North is the only one mining academic institution at Russian North-East. The articles by its members show the results of investigations for assessment of ore impoverishment for the purpose of increasing of resource potential of the deposits, and for the development of new approaches for the choice of methods and technologies of mastering of the gold placer deposit of Bolshoy Kuranakh river (Yakutia).
This issue also includes the results of investigations in the area of deposit mining, processing and complex use of mineral resources, economics and organization of production, ecology, etc.
